About This Course

Organizations that are serious about reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions should not only be able to quantify their overall carbon footprint, but also the carbon footprint generated by each of their products.

Calculating the carbon footprint of products (CFP) is becoming increasingly relevant for businesses that want to demonstrate to their customers that they are reducing the GHG emissions of the products that they consume.

This two-day course will help enable your organization to calculate the carbon footprint of its products.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Comprehend the key principles, requirements, terms, and guidelines of ISO 14067 and where it sits within the broader family of ISO standards addressing GHG emissions
  • Develop a process map to calculate a product’s carbon footprint
  • Calculate the in-use product carbon footprint for a range of products and the allocated carbon footprint of products
  • Recognize the LCA process, including the difference between ‘cradle to gate’ and ‘cradle to grave’
